Ragnarok: Project Zero

Explore the authentic Ragnarok Online world with a modern twist

Greetings, adventurers!

It's been a while since we last sat down and chatted ;) In today's dev blog entry we want to give you a little update on what we have been up to and what you can expect from us in the coming updates.

The road so far

First, let's take a look at our roadmap again and see how much we have done so far in terms of Zero content for this beta:

 ├─ Instances
 | ├─ Poring Village (DONE)
 | ├─ Orc Memory (DONE)
 | ├─ Prontera Culvert Memorial Dungeon (DONE)
 | ├─ Ant Hell Floor 1
 | ├─ Izlude Deep Sea Memorial Dungeon
 | └─ Sunken Ship Instance
 ├─ Fever Fields
 | ├─ Payon (DONE)
 | ├─ Geffen (DONE)
 | └─ Morocc (DONE)
 ├─ Skill Balances
 | ├─ First & Second job skill balances up to pre-trans (DONE)
 | └─ Bard & Dancer songs changes (DONE)
 └─ Dynamic Fields (DONE)

As you might remember from the previous dev blog entry, this list of content is what we want to release before this server is official out of Beta. Which means that there are only three Memorial Dungeons to go before we are ready for our grand opening!

We saw that a lot of you have already started farming the Memorial Dungeons we have so far. And if you haven't, we definitely recommend you to check them out! Remember that the Easy Mode version of each MD aims at dropping MD exclusive gear at their most basic grade (Grade IV), whereas the Hard Mode version can be used to obtain materials for upgrading and improving your MD gear.

What we are working on

Apart from squashing bugs here and there - and thank you for reporting your bugs so diligently on Gitlab -, we are of course working on the remaining content for this beta.

Going up the difficulty ladder, the next two MD instances that we will be releasing are Ant Hell 1F (Level 70+) and Izlude Deep Sea (Level 80+). These instances will also feature an Easy Mode and a Hard Mode version that will allow you to grind for even more MD gear! The next instance is already undergoing internal testing and we hope to release both instances with the next content update.

We also realize that all this Zero content is very new to most of our players, and some parts can be very confusing. Which is why we are also working on getting our own Wiki up and running, so that you will have an accurate source of information about all things Zero. Please stay tuned for further updates on this.

Beta, launch, and beyond

The end of the beta phase is drawing closer and closer, which also means that the official launch of Ragnarok: Project Zero is not too far in the future. While we are still finishing up these last pieces of content, we will share a final date for the grand opening very soon. So stay tuned, and stay excited!

We thank you for taking an interest in Ragnarok: Project Zero and we hope to see you in-game! :)
