All actions that involve a monster is governed by a set of rules to ensure fairness and a smooth playing experience for all parties involved. Failure to follow these rules makes the player liable to a punishment, including warnings, mutes, temporary suspension, or account termination.

It is forbidden to group monsters with the intention of not killing them. Mobbers should group monsters and kill them by themselves or lead them to a group and then kill them. Mobbers may not mob for longer than 1 ~ 2 minutes until they head back to their group or kill them. It is additionally forbidden to mob monsters just to move them around the map to specific locations without killing them.

As per definition, mob dropping is not allowed by any means. Reports on it will be dealt without warning but a direct punishment.

Kill stealing a player monster is a punishable offense, from a warning to account termination, and this section explains the premises of this rule and the exceptions.

If a player is attacking a normal monster (not Bosses, MvPs or Champions) they own it, and another player may not attack it, try to aggro it away, or try to stop the current player from attacking - for example by using Pneuma, Safety Wall, buffs or heals.

The same is true for mobbers, however if a mobber is holding monsters with no intention to kill them, another player may kill them instead after the duration defined in the mobbing section of this guidelines.

Please note that in some cases a player might hiding while killing their monsters, for example an Assassin using Grimtooth. Killing their monsters will be considered a Kill Steal. The staff strongly recommends using @noks before reporting any offense, as it will help protecting your monsters against kill stealing and will reduce the volume of reports handled by the staff.

The kill steal rules on these monsters do not apply, as they are Free for All ("FFA"). Everyone may attack it and claim the victory. Trying to stop the current player from attacking - for example by using Pneuma, Safety Wall, buffs or heals is considered grief play and is punishable.

Unlike other fields, guild dungeons are considered PvP Environment thus they do not adhere to any of the Kill Steal rules.

Attacking monsters to reduce their HP by 50% or more and then teleporting to take the exp when other players kill it is considered grief play, and it will lead to a punishment from a temporary ban up to account termination.

This section holds all the rules regarding any area where PvP interactions are allowed. This includes GvG and any system available in the future.

Chat rules STILL APPLY IN PVP.

  • It is forbidden to send a trade request, friend request and/or a guild/party invite to the enemies during a PvP encounter

The following applies to any GvG map during active events. Currently it only refers to War of Emperium, but it includes any GvG-based system available in the future.

  • Regular PvP rules apply.
  • Guilds must have an emblem.
  • In WoE maps it is forbidden to use emblems with transparency pixels that are more than 40%, or GIF emblems. Guild Members will not be able to access those maps.
  • Emblems must not resemble any game object that might cause confusion, or the emblem of another guild.
  • It is forbidden to multi-client inside Castles and similar maps (Guild dungeons excluded).
  • It is forbidden to res-kill others in Guild Dungeons, as it will cause EXP loss.
  • It is forbidden to open warp portals on the land of another guild during WoE, with the intention to confuse them and warp them to different maps. Even if a player opens warps to expected locations, they will be punished.

Please note that guild leaders will be held accountable for their members' actions in GvG maps and will receive a cumulative punishment based on the punishments to their members. In the case of temporary bans, guild leaders will be sentenced to the more severe punishment. The staff might apply the punishments right before an upcoming WoE.

For vendor placement rules please check our 3. Behavior in public areas section.

  • It is forbidden to sell items for more than their NPC price. Offending vendors will have all their transactions reversed. Items that are not sold in bulk or require a special quest are exempt from this rule.
  • In the shop name, it is forbidden to give a wrong description of the shop's contents. Offending vendors will have all their transactions reversed.
  • Shop names can be anything if they adhere to our chat rules.
  • If a vendor is selling ranked items, they will need to make sure the items stay ranked until all their shops are closed, otherwise it will be treated as scamming.

For buy stores placement rules please check our 3. Behavior in public areas section.

  • It is forbidden to buy an item at a lower price than the NPC price.

Before posting in our trading channels please consider the following:

  • You may not post an offer that you cannot afford/meet either in zeny or items. Repeated offenses will be punished.
  • You may only price check in the trade channels, for example #trade in-game.

Before starting an auction in our Marketplace forum please consider the following:

  • Auctions can last for no less than 3 days and no longer than 14 days.
  • Auctions cannot be cancelled 48 hours before the auction ending date.

For Auctioneers:

  • They need to specify a starting bid price or a selling price that will ensure the item for the bidder who can reach it.
  • Under no circumstances they may refuse a bid that meets the bid price or the sell price, otherwise it will void the auction.
  • They may not sell/trade the item outside of the auction if the auction is running.
  • They may specify a 1:1 trade of the auctioned items, and if any of the bidders offers one of those items it is considered final and all previous and future bids are void.

For Bidders:

  • They may only offer what they can offer. If a bidder is unable to meet their bid, they will be punished.
  • They may not back off from their bid 73 hours before the auction ends
  • They may not bid lower than the defined starting bid, or lower than the latest bid.
  • They may not bid a trade for an item that is not on the acceptable trade list or bid more than 1 item for 1 item.
  • They may not keep the auctioneer to wait to complete the offer for longer than 24 hours, unless the bidder informs the auctioneer that they might have some difficulties. In this case, the auctioneer may choose to move to another bid or forcibly finish the bid after the 24 hours period.

If the auctioneer cannot meet the auction requirements, they will receive a from a temporary to a permanent ban. If the bidder cannot meet the requirements, the staff will sell as much items from the bidder's account at the market average price to reach the bid amount. In the case of a trade, the staff will try to take the item from the bidder's account, and if it is not possible, they will proceed to ban the bidder. It is still impossible to meet the zeny requirement, the bidder will be banned until they can provide enough zeny to unlock their account, and the auctioneer will be allowed to move the following bidder.

Lending items is allowed; however, the staff suggests to not trust anyone and understand that Ragnarok Project: Zero's support will be limited unless the following actions are done beforehand:

  • During the trade, click on the "take screenshot" checkbox
  • In a private message make it clear to the borrower that you are lending x item for x time
Action First Time Second Time Third Time
Selling NPC item for higher price 1 Hour mute 2 Hours mute 4 Hours mute
Buying NPC item for lower price 4 Hours mute 2 Days ban 4 Days ban
Wrong vendor description 1 Day ban 4 Days ban Permanent Ban
Posting an offer you cannot meet 1 Hour mute 2 Hours mute 1 Day ban
Failing to return a loaned item 6 Hours mute 12 Hours mute 2 Days ban

The staff may decide that an action deserves a more severe punishment, a less aggressive one or just a warning. It is up to the staff to decide how to deal each case. The tables above are merely a guide on usual cases and a general idea of possible punishments.
